Please read these terms carefully before booking any tours or travel services with MIV (Megical India Vacations).

Correspondence

All correspondence/s in respect of Tours / Travel Service bookings should be addressed to MIV (MEGICAL INDIA VACATIONS).

Payments

For the services contracted, some advance payment should be made to hold the booking on a confirmed basis. The balance amount can be paid either before your departure from your country or upon arrival in INDIA — but definitely before the commencement of the services.

We hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as an advance payment, based on the nature of services and the time left for the commencement of the services.

Special cases

In some cases like special train journeys, hotel or resort bookings during the peak season (X-Mas, New Year) full payment is required to be sent in advance.

Mode of Payment
  • By Bank transfer to our bank (Bank Details will be forwarded to you as and when required).
  • By Online Payment Gateway system through Visa & Master Credit Cards link.

Note: Payment through credit card will attract an additional 4% on the total amount being paid towards the service charges and govt. taxes.

Policy Regarding Cancellation / NO SHOW / EARLY DEPARTURE

In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges are effective from the date we receive the cancellation letter in writing.

When cancelled Charges

Please note - Irrespective of the above cancellation slabs, in case of cancellation after the booking is made with us, a minimum 10% service charge would be applicable.

For special train journeys (like Palace on Wheels, Deccan Odyssey, Royal Orient etc.) and high peak season bookings (from 20th Dec to 15th Jan) a separate cancellation policy is applicable and will be advised as and when required.

If you cancel the trip after commencement of services, refund would be restricted and depend on the amount we can recover from suppliers. We will attempt to organize refunds from concerned suppliers for unused hotel accommodation, transportation, missed meals etc.; however, we do not bear responsibility for supplier refunds.

Refund

Refunds for unused / unutilized services (paid for and cancelled in advance) will be worked out based on the cancellation policy above. Refunds will be made to the person who made the payment.

Refund process may take 2 - 4 weeks due to banking procedures. If refunded to a credit card or bank account, related bank charges will be debited from the refund amount.

Our liabilities & limitations

After finalization of the tour/service cost, if there are hikes in entrance fees of monuments/museums, taxes, fuel cost or guide charges by the Govt. of India, the same will be charged extra.

MIV acts only in the capacity of agent for hotels, airlines, transporters, railways & other contractors. All exchange orders, receipts, contracts & tickets issued by us are subject to the terms & conditions under which these services are provided by them.

All itineraries are sample itineraries and may change due to weather, road conditions, physical ability of participants, or other factors. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of participants' safety and comfort.

We shall not be responsible for delays or expenses incurred due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accidents, breakdowns, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures, or any incidents beyond our control.

We shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person or property resulting from acts of God, fire, accidents, wars, strikes, thefts, epidemics, government regulations, defaults or other causes beyond our control.

We do not maintain an insurance policy covering accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or other reasons. Visitors are advised to obtain travel insurance in their home country. All baggage & personal property are at the client's risk at all times.

Arrival and Departure Policy

Normal hotel check-in / check-out time in India is 1200 hrs. This may vary by hotel. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to room availability and hotel discretion. For guaranteed early check-in or late check-out, reservations should include the previous night or payment for the extended stay.
